now, a diary entry... (warning, there is a remarkable lack of capital letters. it is intentional.)

tonight's drink: "Gerolsteiner Natural Mineral Water' .

the gerolsteiner label is vaguely disturbing - it is from germany. the water is great... the label should bring connotations of german monarchy, but it also seems remotely like an image from the "National Socialist Party"... why?

doing a google image search for the party images yeilded nothing like the gerolsteiner label... hmmm.

3. type in the word "propaganda"
4. get a visual impression

several pages deep into the search one forms an impression of visuals. graphically, these images are incredible. they convey a great deal of motion and emotion, primarily fear.

Oxford Dictionary of the English Language sites the origin of the word "propaganda" from 1622, with the founding of the college of propaganda... a group of cardinals given the oversight of foreign missions.

interesting how things go, huh?

random change in topics- do you ever overhear people at other tables at restaurants? the funniest thing i ever overheard was when i tuned in just in time to hear:

"it took them a long time to pry the cat off."
