2005-01-29 - BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE!

BAD SCIENCE EXPERIMENT PHASE I

Wherein, I don a white lab coat and laugh maniacally while taking advantage of DiaryLand's offer to run a banner campaign (a perk of having a "gold membership")

Wherein, 10,000 banners are unleashed over a span of time on the unsuspecting public as they surf the DiaryLand site.

Wherein, banners pop up and people like moths to flame are drawn to the kimgo diary.

Wherein, my diary entry was asking people to respond to the following:
RECOMMEND TO ME...
1. a movie
2. a book
3. a musical artist, song, or album
4. an artist, contemporary, comic, historical, whatever

RESULT as of January 27, 2005: 1138 banners have loaded so far on the DiaryLand site. 19 people clicked on the banner, read my diary, and left saying nothing. (OUTRAGIOUS!!!) 3 people have responded by clicking on the banner and deciding to write to me. 2 personal friends that ventured by my diary to read responded.

Here, for your personal enrichment, are the responses:

BAD SCIENCE EXPERIMENT, PHASE II

Wherein I will give you a quote.

Wherein you are invited to leave a quote by either clicking the "notes" or "email" buttons in the right column.

QUOTE:
"...have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Dont search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer." Rilke
