am at work, waiting to go home... mancub and i share one car now, so we co-ordinate transport. it is interesting- this attempt to not be enslaved by automobiles. california is very contrary to it (except perhaps san fran).

would like a honda metropolitan. mancub does not want me on a scooter- he is afraid. in conversation, i countered with getting a retro V W bug. he was negative on it, now is warming just-a-wee-bit to the idea.

work is just minutes away from home, and using a gas-guzzling car to ferry my butt to and fro makes little sense.

in other news - and speaking of butts - i want to shave our cat's butt tonite. sam the cat thinks a bath is comprised of three to four licks in "easy to reach areas". therefore, he receives frequent baths from humans who tire of his smelly, greasy musk-essence. we saw an increase in effort when we took the clippers and cut his hair short all over. suspect that he felt oppressed by all his hair. so i think my job is to keep him liberated...
