2003-08-24 - GOING HOME IS ALWAYS A GOOD END TO ANY ADVENTURE

MOMENT INCLUDES accompaniment by cat and mancub - both embody interuptive possibilities.

am currently researching childrens books... and oh, the draw to write in this way is yanking at my soul right now.

childrens writing is like a combo of haiku, newspaper headlines, and dada. and the medium says that you can, indeed, be corny and sentimental, and silly and simple. the great myths and legends and hopes of a culture get simmered into a simple little chicken-noodle-soupish moment that everyone likes (even if they are afraid to admit it).

i had chicken-noodle-soup the other night when too tired to cook. with saltines, of course. yummm.

so, what to write about?

just read "little bunny biddle bunny". it's too crowded in the bunny hole, so he has an adventure out in the world. then he comes home to the bunny hole to join in the bunny pile and have sweet company and rest.

sounds like my life too.

just trying to find my way, but going home is always a good end to any great adventure.
