2003-05-29 - URBAN RIVERDANCE

last nite i wanted gum. got a cream soda instead. from the corner mart. from a guy that acted like i was invisible. i said "thank you". he said nothing back.

why are we invisible to some, and fully on the radar screen of others?

i'm nice, ya know?

worked on art in an ammended fashion. did not have my full arsenal of items to make art. i was somewhat happy with the results.

i made a picture of quinn coming up over a mountain. thing was, he was behemoth in size and had a goofy grin.

my dearest bud at work - i walked with hime every day - had his last day at the garden today. going to a landscape architecture firm=big-bucks. i am sad. it twists my serenity like a damp hanky.

do NOT like people leaving, no, no, no-no. something fundamentally unatractive about my reaction to it.

today was about:

the crossing signal at the street corner and the corner and the people and the newstand and the pulsing of waiting and going and waiting and going. the dance of a street corner, the heartbeat of blinking lights- WALK DONT WALK WALK DONT WALK WALK DONT WALK.

urban riverdance without the tights and blousy shirts. today was a pulsing rythmn of departing for destinations far away.

bye bye, nick. call every now and then.

i think i will go get on my cat's raw nerve ending now. tee hee.
